Your app data stays on your device

Over Action is an app search and launcher utility by Jojo SW. The Android app has no internet permission, account system, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK. Jojo SW does not receive, sell, or share data from the app.

Data used on your device

Over Action reads launchable app names, icons, package identifiers, and available Android profiles to build the app library and open apps. Search queries are matched locally. Custom aliases, app visibility choices, search and appearance settings, and shortcut preferences are stored in the app’s private device storage.

If you grant Android Usage Access, Over Action reads app usage statistics to rank apps and stores a local snapshot of app launch counts and its update time. These statistics are not transmitted to Jojo SW.

Optional permissions and shortcuts

• Display over other apps and foreground service: used for the floating search button you enable. An ongoing notification provides a Turn off action. The service does not record the screen or collect data in the background.
• Notifications: used for the ongoing floating-button notification and the optional search notification.
• AccessibilityService: used only if you enable the optional accessibility button or double-press Volume Down shortcut after the in-app disclosure and Android consent. The accessibility button opens search when tapped. If the Volume Down shortcut is enabled, Android sends hardware key events and window-change events; the app checks for two quick Volume Down presses and uses window changes to select the active display. Other keys and window contents are ignored. The service does not retrieve screen contents, record keystrokes, store event data, or transmit data. You can disable these shortcuts in Over Action and revoke the service in Android Accessibility settings.
• Boot completion and vibration: support your enabled notification shortcut after restart and optional tap feedback.

Permissions are controlled through Android settings. Features that need a permission remain optional; denying one does not require you to grant unrelated permissions.

Web search and alias backup

When you choose web search or open a URL, Over Action passes the query or URL to your selected browser or search provider. Their privacy practices apply to that interaction. This is a user-initiated action, not an app connection to a Jojo SW server.

Alias import and export use files you explicitly choose through Android’s file picker. Exported files contain aliases and their app identifiers. If you choose a cloud storage provider, that provider handles the file under its own policies.

Retention, security, and deletion

App settings, aliases, and usage snapshots remain in private app storage on your device until changed, removed, or cleared. Android’s app sandbox limits access by other apps. Automatic app backup is disabled. To remove all private app data, clear Over Action’s storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Delete any exported backup files separately. Over Action does not create an online account or maintain server-side app records.

Children and personal information

The app does not ask users, including children, to create accounts or provide names, email addresses, location, contacts, messages, photos, payment information, or advertising identifiers.

This website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Visiting it sends technical request information, such as your IP address and browser information, to the hosting provider to deliver and protect the site. We do not add analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies, or contact forms to this website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of website traffic.
